The humorous, almost tongue-in-cheek book is a combination business and semi-autobiographical report about the development and pros and cons of the manufactured housing industry in California. Despite Sullivan’s personal problems with alcohol and an equally bad attitude for most of his career, Sullivan became a successful dealer.
The book, while being funny, also details what it takes to be successful in any type of real estate, but particularly in the manufactured housing arena where part of the problem in making good sales is overcoming the stigma of trailer trash. This need for credibility has led to Sullivan’s motto, your most important decision is the person that you select.
